The Construction
SAFETY-RAIL® is designed with posts with base plates.
The post spacing is 1.33 m. The posts are fixed to the corresponding structures by means of prefabricated anchors or by chemical anchors.

The box beam profile is screwed to the posts via deformation elements. The box beam profile has a height of 750 mm. In the lower section a transverse beam is installed as an under-run protection device. This beam is also connected to the posts via deformation elements. The upper section is a special type of handrail, being reinforced by a steel wire rope.

The System
SAFETY-RAIL® is hot dip galvanized and has a total height of 1150 mm. The width is approximately 400 mm. In case of extremely limited space the width can be reduced to 270 mm by leaving out the deformation elements. The weight is 63 kg per meter.
SAFETY-RAIL® is turned down and anchored on structures or on a strip foundation. It is possible to connect SAFETY-RAIL® to other guard rail systems. On bridges expansion joints have to be used.
